FULL FIGURED FASHION WEEK 2012 (part 1)

Hey Y'all!!
After a long flight due to delays...I finally got to my hotel at 7pm (I was scheduled to arrive at 5)! The view from the hotel was so amazing that it instantly perked up my sour attitude about the flight! I decided to stay in Jersey City rather than New York and after my 1st day in NY...let me tell you...I was so glad to have made that decision! The streets of NY are brutal on the feet, calves and back! lol Fortunately for us, the hotel was right on the Hudson and literally only steps away from the Path train that took us to and from NY each day. Here are a few pics of the hotel view, the incredible never ending escalator leading to the train and my 1st pic in a train station.

I ate in the hotel restaurant daily. Food was fantastic and there was a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline.
The never ending escalator leading to the Path train.
My 1st time in an underground rail station.
The 1st fffweek event I attended was the Curves and Cocktails where I got to mix and mingle with some of my awesome blogger friends. Here's a pic of Alissa of Stylish Curves and I.
Chastity of The Curvy Girl's Guide to Style (my fffweek roomy) and I hitting the streets of NYC. We went to the BIG Macy's which has 9 floors and contained a McDonald's, Ben & Jerry's & Starbucks within it! It was somewhat intimidating because I've never seen that many people in one store before!
Stay tuned for my 2nd event.....the Indie Fashion Show!
With Love,
Kiah
p.s. a big shout out to my super sweet cousin Odie who picked me up and served as my escort through Jersey City on my 1st night in town. We had great conversation, good food and lots of laughs!! Love you girl!

Isn't New York AWESOME?!?!?! I miss the energy of the city so much but staying outside of the city makes it easier to deal with the hustle & bustle. It sounds like you had a great time! Cant wait to see the rest of the pics
