ITS RAINING IN DALLAS!

HEY Y'ALL!! AFTER 40 DAYS OF DROUGHT, ITS FINALLY RAINING IN DALLAS!! IT RAINED PRETTY GOOD LAST NIGHT AND HAS BEEN SPRINKLING ON AND OFF ALL DAY. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THRIFTING ON A RAINY DAY SO THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I SET OUT TO DO TODAY. THIS IS WHAT I WORE.
OUTFIT INFO
STRIPED TOP: MICHAEL KORS
CUT OFF JEANS: LANE BRYANT
GREEN WELLIES: TAR-JAY
HANDBAG: MICHAEL KORS
WATCH: MICHAEL KORS

I HAVE BEEN HAVING THE WORST BREAKOUTS OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. MY FACE LOOKS A MESS BECAUSE I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH PICKING!! ANY "ACNE CONTROL" SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! I HAVE TRIED ALL OVER THE COUNTER PRODUCTS SO I AM MORE INTERESTED IN "HOME REMEDIES" FROM YO BIG MOMMA (grandma)!! HAHA
WITH LOVE, KIAH

You look so cute your boots are adorable! I can totally relate to the breaking out issue I'm a picker too it's terrible... So what I use to combat my face is lavender oil applied directly to the zits and lavender witch hazel toner this stuff... http://www.amazon.com/Thayer-Witch-Alcohol-Lavender-liquid/dp/B000PP15L8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1313270841&sr=8-3
Applied to my face 2x a day.

I hope you get rid of them soon! Take care Kiah!!!!

You know what! I was on the phone with Juanette this morning and I guess she looked out the window and said "It rained last night!"

I'm on the phone like...okayyyy.

But I guess it was big news in Dallas! LOL

I need rainboots!
Oh my, Kiah. I dunno if I could last without rain! That said, I'm glad it rained at your end because you got to bust out your wellies! and I love them! :)

For your acne, I recommend using an extractor to pop your pimples. It's much much more sanitary than using your fingers. They sell them at Sephora for about $16.

Relaxed but chic! Great outfit for running errands. I'm glad you all got rain. I wish it would rain here in Houston.

I'm with you 100% on having skin issues. I've been experiencing the worst breakouts and blemishes on my face for the past few months and I have no clue what to do. I've tried everything from supplements to cleansing products. Nothing is working. Looks like I'll be visiting the Dermatologist real soon because I can't be walking around looking like a prickly beast in the face, no ma'am- LOL.

Cute boots! I went thrifting today too! Did you find any good deals?!?!

Kiah!

Get your hands off your face now!! lol!

Try 100% Black Soap. you can buy it at a "local" Beauty Supply Store ( like the ones in the hood. That bar is a miracle worker! I also use for breakouts Lush Grease Lightening. Use it when you see the pimple starting to show up and its gone in two days tops.

i almost went and danced in the rain, but instead i went shopping instead. lol

i have heard about the black soap too! im going to try it soon after i finish this acne stuff from Phillip Roth Thomas or something like that that i get from sephora. its ok but im breaking out like mad on my cheeks too!

Thank you ladies for all of your feedback! I will most def have to try the lavender, extractor and "black soap"!! @Katie I found some shoes and 3 shirts at Genesis in Uptown! @Jamie and Nique "You so crazy" (in my Martin Lawrence voice)!! haha

Rain boots! They're super cute! It's been pouring here the past 2 days. I have the same problem with acne picking, you should try just laying in the sun, it will really dry it all out. Hope that helps!

Wonderful! Awesome!
I especially like the boots! They're outstanding!
I'm loving the cut off shorts! I'm feeling this cut off shirts vibe so much so that yesterday I took a pair scissors and razor and made my own cut off/distressed shorts. Love the way it turned out and I love the way u paired the shorts with that stripped shirt. Laid back and trendy.

The rain boots put a smile on my face. Too cute.

stumbled upon your blog, you are so stylish!!! :D haha i'm partly excited because i just read that you live in texas ^^ i think i only have a few texan bloggers that i follow :(. so jealous that it rained there! i'm so done with the heat wave haha!

as far as natural remedies for acne control, i unfortunately do not know any :(. i suffer from breakouts on and off sometimes due to stress and during those (time of the month). sometimes, even from foundations that doesn't work well with my skin. for really big pimples i used to use ddf's benzoyl peroxide with tea tree oil. it's super strong so it's preferable to use as a spot treatment. as far as little zits, i use my trusty biore pore scrub. ^^. sorry for rambling O__O

This acne treatment is so disgusting I hate to suggest but my husband says his mother swore by it...wipe your own urine over the offending acne. Thank goodness I'm too old for acne but if I were desparate I'd have to give it a try.

I am a licensed esthetician. I recommend a few things for break outs. No picking!
Make yourself a tea tree oil toner. Get an empty 4 ounce bottle and add 12-20 drops of tea tree oil and distilled water. Shake and use every night. This will help kill bacteria.
Use a scrub 2 times a week. (only 2 times) I recommend Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant.
Use a clay mask only on the break outs at night as you are sleeping.
Get an AHA lotion to shrink your pores and use Hyaluronic acid as your moisturizer everynight. Yes break out prone skin still needs moisture.
If you want to clear your skin fast call your local beauty colleges and ask them if they do high-frequency.

Tooo funny - I have spent my weekend in rain boots and shorts as well!! You definitely look rain-chic.

Hmm, my tried and true breakout remedy is a facial I make with oatmeal (you can use a packet of instant or regular oats), honey and yogurt. I don't have any measurements but it should be sticky. Massage it onto your face to exfoliate and then leave it on to set before washing it off. Hope that helps!
love that i found your blog :) considering I live in rainy Ireland, it's amazing I don't own wellys yet!
Hope your skin calms down soon, mine is a constant nightmare and less is more. Oatmeal and honey masks are good for diy treatments. I also use some tea tree oil just to keep area clean but nothing too astringent or my skin would go too red and dry. Hoping my new clarisonic helps my skin!

Kiah you are too cute with the rainboots on! I was scrolling down, not expecting them, it made me smile!
