A GLAMOROUS MAXI DRESS


I have had my eye on this beautiful ASOS Curve pleated maxi dress since its 1st appearance on their website. When I went back to the website a couple of weeks later and it was still there I decided to go ahead and buy it. I LOVE IT!! It is a glamorous version of a maxi dress. The color is called minx (a sort of grayish light purple) and it is super long which I need because I am 5' 8" so if I put on some 4" heels I'm 6' tall!!! The dress fits me perfectly throughout the waist and hips however the chest area is too large. I will have to have it tailored but until then I just applied a broach. I was not comfortable with how low it was along with the fact that it is sleeveless so I threw on my Ralph Lauren cardi. I am wearing my platform Jeffrey Campbell wedges and some vintage pearls. Dallas just got its 1st In and Out Burger so we decided to go there for dinner tonight. It was a mad house but I have to give the staff mad props because they were super friendly and efficient! These Dallas peeps have never been to one but my hubby and I are from Arizona so we know all about the In/Out Burger! YUM!!

Oh Kiah, I totally love it! This dress is amazing! I've never seen a maxi dress with a pleated skirt! The color is fantastic. Just like the previous Laura said.. very old Hollywood! With the pearls and that brooch, it's such a pretty look!

Ahh, I love this! You look so pretty and I love your hair like this! I bought a black maxi from F21 a couple of months ago, and it was too long so my Nana hemmed it. I have yet to wear it because I don't know if I look silly being all of 5'3'' !

I love that dress with all my heart! And girl, I was with Juanette a few weekends ago in Dallas (for my fam reunion)...and we passed by IN and Out Burger....GIRLLLLLLLL it was crazy!

We rode right past it...I never want a burger that bad! Ever!

I'm surprised no one has commented about your height--when I tell people my height, I usually round it up to 5' 3", lol! Anyways, I really like your solution of the brooch. Another possibility is layering a camisole underneath, although I know it's hot in TX!!

The dress is beautiful on you and I love your hair. Maybe one day you can do a tutorial?
If you think the v is low in the front you can always put maybe a lacey or close to the body tank on until you get the maxi tailored.

I don't know if we have an In/Out Burger in my area, sounds like it was delish.
