WORK OUTFIT, BLOG AWARDS AND THINGS ON MY HEART

This is what I wore to work today. I have had this Ralph Lauren blouse for a couple of years and I love it! It is just a beautiful collage of horses and horse accessories. I paired it with my F21 crinkle maxi skirt and loafers from Tar-Jay. Oh and YES...I have JUNK in my trunk!! lol

I have received a few Blog Awards. I don't really follow the rules of blog awards because they can get  "chain mail" like and I feel that once you have completed one and told all about yourself it can get pretty monotonous for readers every time you receive one. Having said that; I do appreciate the love and so I want to mention and thank the bloggers that thought of me. Y'all are super sweet gals! If any of you are interested in my previous blog award post you can see it here stylish-and-versatile-award

BELOW ARE THE AWARDS THAT I HAVE RECEIVED....

The Adorable Blog Award from Inez of Style Chic 360

The Blogger Luxury Award from Harija R. of My Lyfe - My Story

Versatile Blogger Award from JTWisdom of Bubbling with Elegance and Grace

Sunshine Award 2011 from Laura of Artfully Artista

One Lovely Blog Award from Debbie of Thrifty Girl Vintage

I apologize to any blogger that has given me an award but is not mentioned above. Sometimes this blog stuff gets very overwhelming to keep up with and I hope you understand. I would also like to say the same about comment responses. I choose not to respond to your comments within my comments section. The reasons being a.) It makes it easier for me to read your comments and b.) after I leave a comment on someone's blog I generally don't go back to see if you left a comment to my comment. I guess I assume most of you don't do the same. I do however try and go to each of your blogs and leave comments.

I want to leave you with these words of encouragement. I am a strong believer that ENCOURAGING WORDS make a difference!

Have you ever known someone who believed in you, someone who frequently spoke words of encouragement and praise? The kind of person who made you feel you could do it, whatever "it" was? That’s the kind of person God wants us to be. Paul gave a good guideline when he wrote that everything we say should build up the one who is listening. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen (Ephesians 4:29). I have seen some pretty nasty comments left on blogs and it really makes me sick to think that someone could be so cruel. Each of us bloggers have our own individual style. That is what makes us unique. I think it would be such a boring blog world if all of us looked alike. If you don't necessarily like what someone has on...don't leave a comment at all or find ONE thing that you do like and comment on that but PLEASE be mindful of that blogger's feelings. So let us leave encouraging comments on each others blogs and not negative ones. To my bloggers that have been left negative hurtful comments...I live by this scripture:

Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant. (Galatians 1:10).

Thanks for all the love and support! Kiah

Love your shirt! And you're so right about sending forth encouragement. I get really angry when I see horrible words being thrown at bloggers in the comment section. And, of course, these people are anonymous. That irks me to no end. There's critique and than there's bashing. Those people are bashing.
I am so glad you spoke on this and I couldn't agree more. It's so simple: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Love your equestrian-themed blouse - you look fabulous.

You are so inspiring. Yes, I've seen a lot of nasty comments left in other blogs as well. You're right, if you don't like what you see, then don't leave a comment. It's just sick, the way haters bully some people.

And by the way you're blouse is really magnificent. :) I love the print and paired with that maxi skirt, it looks so beautiful.

Well said!! I always leave your blog feeling inspired.
When i decided to start fashion blogging a couple of my blogger friends warned me about the so called 'haters'. I don't understand how people can be so nasty.
Thank you thank you for this post!!

Girl that is such a good scripture. I am munching on that one. So true that we are all different and that's what makes us so special. I don't want to be a carbon copy.

Today in Missouri we had tornado warnings and you have to be so thankful for God's safety.

Congrats on all your awards, you deserve it.
