VELVET KISSES - D.I.Y. "POP ART"

Hey Dolls!
I'm so excited to share this post with you! Out of frustration, I decided to do a "trendy print" DIY. I don't know about you, but I can't ever find trendy printed items in plus size. Lately, I've been obsessed with all things "Pop Art" so I tapped into my inner Andy Warhol and came up with this lip print skirt. By the way, how fitting is it that this is the "LOVE" month (Valentine's Day)!
I found this amazing lip stamp on eBay and used a sponge brush to apply red acrylic paint to it, then stamped an old cream satin-like skirt (that I scored from eBay a while back). As you can see it turned out pretty RAD (if I do say so myself), but I do notice (from the pics) that I need to fill in some spots (mainly in the back). I chose to spare the upper section of the skirt and concentrate on the hip down portion of the skirt. Who knows, I may end up filling in the entire skirt.

Once I finish with stamping, I will turn the skirt inside out and "heat-set" the paint with an iron. This will set in the color allowing me to wash/dry-clean without ruining the paint.

Velvet Peplum Jacket: Lane Bryant
Skirt: eBay (DIY lip printed by Me)
Shoes: Dillard's
Belt: IDK (lol)
Earrings: Kate Spade
Lipstick: Ruby Woo (MAC)
With LOVE (and kisses),
Kiah

I love it!!!! but what if you shorten it knee length me and tapered it just a bit. Ultra sexy.

I am so in love with this. It turned out perfectly!
Great job. I do agree that you should probably add a few more "kisses" but all and all it's perfect.

Stamping fabric is something I have been planning to try since forever now! I tried to paint something onto fabric moths ago, and it didn't work out, lol. Must try again though! The skirt looks very cute!

This skirt is so fierce! Totally love it! I'm a huge Rocky Horror fan so I have to try this. Any acrylic paint will work as long as you iron it after?

Thanks for the amazing post.
