DESERT DIVA

TODAY WE DROVE OUT TO THE OUTLETS TO GET MY DAUGHTER SOME CONVERSE FOR SCHOOL. SHE ADORES CHUCKS AND WILL NOT WEAR ANY OTHER SHOE TO SCHOOL! AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY SCHOOL YEAR TEXAS HAS A TAX FREE DAY. YOU DON'T PAY TAX ON ANY CLOTHING, SHOES OR SCHOOL SUPPLIES UP TO $100. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS DAY, MOST RETAILERS HAVE GREAT SALES. BOTH MY DAUGHTER AND HUSBAND ENDED UP GETTING SOME CHUCKS AND OF COURSE, I PICKED UP SOME THINGS TOO!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW YOU!! ;-)

I WANTED TO BE COMFY BECAUSE OUTLETS REQUIRE A LOT OF WALKING. I FOUND THIS CUTE LIGHT WEIGHT JACKET/BLAZER ON EBAY AND IT REMINDED ME OF HOME (ARIZONA) SO I HAD TO HAVE IT! I PAIRED IT WITH SOME STIRRUP LEGGINGS AND A ZEBRA PRINT KAFTAN. I KNOW MY PRINTS ARE CLASHING AND BUSY BUT IT IS FUN!! THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ME KNOW THAT I AM NOT MARRIED TO ONE LOOK, IN FACT, I CRAVE VERSATILITY AND I DRESS ACCORDING TO MY MOOD WHICH IS EVER CHANGING! I WEAR LEATHA IN THE SUMMA TIME AND SHORTS IN THE WINTER. LOL
ANYWHO, I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
WITH LOVE,
KIAH

Ooo, definitely loving the outfit you have on! Reminds me of when I used to live in Arizona!

Thank you for your sweet comments. I'm afraid I'm too painfully shy and clumsy to be a model! Plus too short!

You're working this look so well. I like the print and don't think it's too busy at all. "Dare to be different", that's my motto. You look great!

Yea, I went to the outlet mall here in Houston and racked up on my boys for school. My son is addicted to Jordans now (it was Vans, then Chucks, & now Jordans-lol). I really do enjoy when tax free weekend comes around. I saved a lot of $$$. And those outlet prices were dabomb.com. I got a lot of stuff myself (couldn't leave momma out- had to treat myself).

I love the details of the jacket and the mixing of prints! It requires boldness to pull off and you did it well!

I love that your daughter wants Chucks... I wore them all 4 years of high school myself... pink, red, black, and white! Of course, this was in the '80s....

I do like and the handbag is cute. I'm a huge fan of Chucks too for the kid. He's a big fan of Nike and Supra, lol.
